RADIO VERITAS ASIA KHMER SERVICE
The Khmer Service of Radio Veritas Asia started on January 1st, 2011 and it is produced by the Catholic Social Communications National Office in Cambodia, under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Cambodia. It is The Voice from the Catholic Church in Cambodia with different sections such as: Daily Gospel reading and explanation, news from Catholic Church (Local and international), interviews, Health, Testimony, Agriculture, Environment, History, Music and other issues.
Objective:
- To contributed the unity of the local Church.
- To make Christian values such as love, justice, peace, and reconciliation to be of normal understanding and use by the general public.
- To reach many Catholic faithful and Non- Faithful who live in remote areas.
- To strengthen the presence of the Catholic Church in Cambodia.
Target of the program:
RVA Khmer Service “The Voice from the Catholic Church in Cambodia”: It is particularly addressing to the group of Catholics of each area where the Radio Signal of RVA can reach and by extension to Christians from other denominations and to the people of the region, most of them non-Christians. The program is made in such a way that can be understood and easily followed by the non-Christians. Through this radio program the Church has the possibility to reach out many of the faithful who are not at hand and, at the same time, to let the Word of God be known by many Cambodians.
RVA KHMER Service “The Voice from the Catholic Church in Cambodia” is an open door of the Church in Cambodia to all Cambodian; Catholics and non-catholic who lives in Asia region.
