Introduction to Emmanuel Program

60 minutes pre-record Catholic Radio program which broadcasting every week on Saturday in 7 different Radio Stations in Kompong Cham, Battambang, Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, Sihanukville, Kampot and Phnom Penh. Emmanuel radio was started since 2005. In Phnom Penh we broadcasted on Protestant Radio station FEBC FM 99.5 MHz from 2006 until November 2009, we move to commercial radio station, because FEBC Radio station asks us to change the way of talking about the Catholic Doctrine on their station. “Emmanuel” Radio CD has been sent to some parishes which Radio Frequency can’t reach. OBJECTIVE:

  • To reach Catholics who live far from the Church and in the Church for getting Sunday reading and news from the Local Church.
  • Presenting the Love of God to Cambodian Peoples – according to Catholic Church activities.

PROGRAM CONTENT:

  • Sunday Bible reading and preaching from the priests, Sisters, and Lay people.
  • Question and Answer about the Catholic Church, this year is the year of Priest we talk much about the lives of the priest in Cambodia.
  • Testimony of Church people about faith.
  • News from the Catholic Church (Local and International)
  • The Social issue talking about the Social education, culture, health, public commentary and suggest from the audient.
  • Prayer – end, we also play Catholic Songs

The content will be change following the Church Calendar. THE RESULT OF THE PROGRAM:

  • Many non-Catholic questions about the Catholic Church they can understand better about Christianity in Cambodia.
  • The Sunday gospel reached many Catholics and Non-Catholic faithful who live in the remote areas. The audiences can prayer during our program broadcasting.
  • The Christian values such as love, justice, peace, and reconciliation going into the general public.
  • The public better understand about the Catholic Church.
  • Some listener can find the Church by calling to the Radio producer, they have move from province to a new province.
  • The unity of the local Church was contributed.
A voice of the Catholic Church has reached both Catholic and non-Catholic.
