Emmanuel Program
60 minutes pre-record Catholic Radio program which broadcasting every week on Saturday in 7 different Radio Stations in Kompong Cham, Battambang, Kompong Thom, Siem Reap, Sihanukville, Kampot and Phnom Penh. Emmanuel radio was started since 2005.
In Phnom Penh we broadcasted on Protestant Radio station FEBC FM 99.5 MHz from 2006 until November 2009, we move to commercial radio station, because FEBC Radio station asks us to change the way of talking about the Catholic Doctrine on their station.
“Emmanuel” Radio CD has been sent to some parishes which Radio Frequency can’t reach.
OBJECTIVE:
- To reach Catholics who live far from the Church and in the Church for getting Sunday reading and news from the Local Church.
- Presenting the Love of God to Cambodian Peoples – according to Catholic Church activities.
PROGRAM CONTENT:
- Sunday Bible reading and preaching from the priests, Sisters, and Lay people.
- Question and Answer about the Catholic Church, this year is the year of Priest we talk much about the lives of the priest in Cambodia.
- Testimony of Church people about faith.
- News from the Catholic Church (Local and International)
- The Social issue talking about the Social education, culture, health, public commentary and suggest from the audient.
- Prayer – end, we also play Catholic Songs
The content will be change following the Church Calendar.
THE RESULT OF THE PROGRAM:
- Many non-Catholic questions about the Catholic Church they can understand better about Christianity in Cambodia.
- The Sunday gospel reached many Catholics and Non-Catholic faithful who live in the remote areas. The audiences can prayer during our program broadcasting.
- The Christian values such as love, justice, peace, and reconciliation going into the general public.
- The public better understand about the Catholic Church.
- Some listener can find the Church by calling to the Radio producer, they have move from province to a new province.
- The unity of the local Church was contributed.
A voice of the Catholic Church has reached both Catholic and non-Catholic.
I Need U Program
It is a 60 minutes Catholic Radio Program with reflection difference social issue related to the Youth with Christian perspective. “I NEED U” Program broadcasting in Phnom Penh for one hour lives every Monday and Tuesday at the FEBC FM 99.5 MHz Protestant Radio Station. This program started in 2007. The main focus of “I NEED U” program is: relationship among young people such as searching for friendship and life partner, related parent, friend and society in general.
“I Need You” on-air time radio program is the continuation of a previous program called “Modern Youth” a pre-recorded program we produced and broadcast during the first 3 years of our CSC project: 2004, 2005 and 2006. After this first good experience on radio the radio team created a new format to be broadcast alive. At the present this program of one hour duration is on air twice a week.
OBJECTIVE:
- Focus on youth, who need some advice about the relationship in family, with friends (Boy friend or Girl friends), at School, and in the society.
- Giving opportunity for the young people express their opinions about difference topic, ask questions to the resource person of the program and to give their own suggestion.
THE RESULT OF THE PROGRAM:
- The youth understanding the meaning of life and true friendship.
- The Catholic perspective: Peace, justice, and reconciliation was recognized by the audience through the “I NEED U” program.
- Young people have a place to express their idea and have friend for discussing.
- Young people understanding the way of looking for partner in life from the resource person of the programs.
- The youth understand about the way of the reconciliation with friends and parent.
- The audience can support of creativity in difference fields.
- The “I NEED U” program getting a large number of audience in the City of Phnom Penh and surrounding. Every program the presenters have received caller between 5 to 8 people who calling in the program for discuss on topic in the program. And miscall from 30 times to 40 times from difference caller.
“I NEED U” getting more and more interest from young people when the program started talking about love and relation among themselves.
